For more than a decade, I have had the pleasure of working as a classroom teacher, dyslexia tutor, and reading specialist in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the years, my students have taught me that no two children are alike. Each person is a unique and special individual with a different way of learning. My practice was founded on a deep respect for cognitive diversity. I believe in the science of reading and that children with dyslexia will thrive if they receive intensive, sequential, multi-sensory, and evidence-based instruction. My mission is to create a unique learning plan for each student based on a careful study of that child's abilities, interests, temperament and goals.
